The Adventures
of San Juan, Puerto Rico |
| Arlen was accompanied by his immediate team, his family, and several close friends (including Myron) who joined him on this adventure.
(as told by Myron's camera)
After a long flight for everyone. the guys head to the docks of San Juan to unload the 2 monstrous semis carrying precious cargo...Arlen Ness's fleet including the newly built "Top Banana" whose name compliments the Outrageous Custom Bike that carries a 145 cubic inch motor and a supercharger. Can you guess the color? Also waiting to be released after a week long trip by sea to San Juan, was Roland Sand's very competitive contribution to the biker buildoff event, and his Performance Machine Rig.
Unfortunately, all were disappointed to find that release of the rigs would be delayed, due to the fact that customs was so overwhelmed by the Cargo, Arlen, and Roland. On the bright side, Myron was able to get in a good workout.
Finally, after two days of rain AND delay, the okay. Everyone heads back to docks.
|

The bikes were driven to Florida which took over a week, and then put to sea for another week before arriving in San Juan. |

A little rest before the rides |

It's a secret but Myron's always been a One Man Show deep down. "Blue Bayou" outside the Water Club. |

Cocktails with Cory Ness |

Kickn' Back |

The first ride was to this guys shop, and some things took place along the way. |

Woops!!!!! |
 |
 |

After cutting loose from the events at the bike shop, everyone took off, only to stumble upon a banana stand of all things. Keep in mind, Arlen's bike is named "TOP BANANA". |
 |

One for the Road |

After monkeying around with bananas, they all headed down the rough terrain ... |
 |

... and ended up at a very old, local cigar rolling factory. |
 |

Surrounded by beauty |
| Filming took place everyday and lots of shots were taken from all areas.
The rides originate in San Juan and lead to a town called Rincon, where the contest would ultimately be held. Rincon is an approximate 3-4 hour drive, to the opposite side of the Island, depending on alot of things. |
 |

Lighthouse Park, Rincon Puerto Rico. You can see the ocean in the backround. |

Roland and Arlen discuss the possibilities. Roland put on quite a show for the fans. He spun the tire right off the wheel doing burnouts. It seemed as though the crowd was leaning his way. |

They wish luck to each other, they know it's a close one. |

Roland looks concerned. |

... or maybe he's just enjoying the view. |

Arlen is called to the stage. |
 |

Bev, Arlen's wife, looks on. It's not HER first rodeo. |
 |

Wait, is that Arlen holding the trophy? |

YES!!!! It is !!!!! And Arlen takes another one. |
 |

The crowd is more than happy with the results. Everyone at the event was extremely respectful and very excited to be there. We could not figure out where all of these people had come from. Some must have ridden forever to get there. They were more than eager to break the barriers of communication. You would have thought you were home among friends. |

Harley is definitely a language of it's own. |

Myron tries to steal the trophy! |

Now he has an accomplice. |

Oh no, now he's stealing "TOP BANANA" !!!! |

Nice, Big, Shiny Arlen Ness Rig |

The crowd can't get enough. They chased Myron to the Rig for loading. They observed in awe. |

|
| On the way home traffic came from everywhere. Rincon has no stop signs, let alone lights, so until police arrived, Grady had to get out and take control. He single handedly straightened out the mess of about 200 cars with nowhere to go. Thanks to him, we escaped without injury and celebrated back at the hotel. We hopped a car back to San Juan, and were on the first flight to Phoenix the next day. "Blue Bayou" stayed back to sail home and is now safe and sound too.
The End
Blue Bayou would like to thank Top Banana for sharing this adventure. |
